year 2009:Playing Games with Gwen-Cool

Witches (aka Project Witches) is a third-person tactical combat game played in a dark Medieval setting. According to Revistronic, the player directs the 'beautiful but dangerous' Gwen (a witch): 'a sultry warrior that still resists his dark will and leads the rebellion against his satanic power.' Conceptually and aesthetically, Gwen has many similarities to the heroine of BloodRayne, which, incidentally, spawned one of the worst vampire films of all time. (Even though Natassia Malthe—as Rayne—looked perfect for the role, and undoubtedly kept at least half the audience awake at night, hoping for a visit.) The game, which will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, is designed to promote cooperative play, locally and via the Internet.

A lengthy review of the game by Ben Dutka on PSXExtreme.com is based on the publisher's teaser. As Ben notes, the witches of the title are white witches, and, although a lot of these women could be characterized as 'sultry' (like Gwen), 'they’re gonna be kicking some serious ass' while fighting the personification of evil (called 'The Beast'). So, 'don’t think you’re going to spending all your time ogling babes in Witches'. There are, nevertheless, 15 screen shots of the game on PSXExtreme.com, and 27 on IGN.com: most of which concentrate on 'leather, magic, feminine curves' etc.

This is what Gwen looks like:

An here is the 'healthy sampling of hotties' that Ben mentions:
